Almost every bird toy needs a toy hook or some sort of knot to tie off the ends. When using poly rope you may need to add a toy hook to your bird toy. The best knot for this will be the loop knot. 

Loop Knot

Bird toys that have beads or 3mm holes toy parts will be fine with a single knot.

Single Knot

Some bird toy parts like wood blocks, wood beads and anything with a larger hole than 3mm will require a double knot.

Double Knot

Donut beads add a very nice touch to a bird toy. They can be tied with a single knot at the bottom and prevent parts from sliding through.
